Keeping your body healthy and in optimal condition requires taking care of your foundation, AKA your feet. If your feet aren’t happy, the rest of your body feels it. Taking care of your feet can include a wide variety of care methods (i.e. a foot detox), but a simple solution is ensuring that you have properly fitting footwear. Our work at Juil includes not only providing you with high quality, leather footwear, but also making sure that you find the perfect fit.
All of our footwear is made with natural leathers, which means that there will be a natural break-in process that will occur with your shoes.
When you first get a pair of leather shoes, slip them on to ensure that they’re the proper fit. When I say “proper fit”, I mean that there should be a little bit of space between your toes and the front of the shoe. If your toes hit the front of the toebox or you feel some tightness at the front of the shoe and foot, I would recommend sizing up to the next size. Having the width feel a bit snug, however, is completely normal and to be expected. The leathers will stretch out and form to your foot (like a glove…or should I say shoe).
