This stretch of below zero temperatures has been rough to say the least! I don’t know about all of you, but I’m ready for the warmth to come back. Those days when earthing is as simple and pleasant as a morning walk in the dewy grass.
As we begin to prepare ourselves for the warmer temperatures and consider family vacations, we’re suddenly overwhelmed with options and excitement. Well, lucky for you, I’ve got a suggested destination that you’re not going to want to miss.
An hour and a half bus ride from Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita is a relatively secluded fishing village along a robust portion of the Pacific coastline. Outside of the hustle and bustle of traditional all-inclusive resorts, Sayulita reveals a captivatingly comfortable, low-key Mexican livelihood that many have fallen in love with.
Sayulita, Mexico. It’s my absolute favorite vacation spot. If you’re looking for a serene ocean, truly local experience, delicious Red Snapper, and a few surfing lessons, this is your spot! There is no place in the world that I’ve ever felt more at peace. Walking in the sand or through the cobbled streets, you’ll feel at home the minute you arrive.
Considered to be the “crown jewel” of the Riviera Nayarit, this village is the definition of a hidden gem. Since its discovery by surfers over 50 years ago, the village has grown quite a bit. Despite its growth, Sayulita holds on to its roots. Walking through the streets, locals mingle with tourists and vice versa. The stunning natural beauty is coupled with booming eco tourism, jungle retreats, and a love of surfing. If you’ve never surfed before and never even considered the idea, Sayulita will change your mind.
Sayulita is your escape. It’s your opportunity to truly escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect. It’s a place where you can connect with the earth beneath you and around you.
