What do you never leave the house without?
Iphone, chapstick, nuts & water! My iphone has a pocket in the case for my credit card so that’s really all I need plus keys.
Where is your favorite place to sport Juil footwear? And what have your experiences been?!
I love my Juil sandals, wore them all over Europe this summer, they were the perfect shoes for all the walking & warm weather. I took my pewter Hera sandals so I could wear them day or night.
What are the first three words that come to your mind when someone says: “grounded” or “connected?”
home, community, content
We want to know what your typical morning looks like!
Wake up, meditate, emails. Somewhere in there I make a green smoothie and often have morning Skype meetings with my US co-workers. I’m more of a noon yogi, but some days I wake up and practice in the morning too.
What is one mantra that is like a remedy for your soul?
It’s not so much a mantra as much as a familiar place I experience inside of me. It’s a spacious place that I can tune into whenever I get stressed or overwhelmed. I guess it’s the sound of my breath more than anything.
How do you channel your inner 5 year old?
Remember to laugh, it is medicine for your soul!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I love to cook, when I’m home I love to buy whatever fresh produce looks best and find fun ways to cook it. It’s really grounding for me with all the travel and so revitalizing!
What is your favorite pose to teach in your classes? And why?
People always ask me that and I never have an answer. For me teaching yoga is all about teaching with a purpose and the ability to create a powerful practice from that purpose. The poses are just tools for that. For me it’s like a painter creating a masterpiece, you can’t pick a favorite color because it’s the combination of colors that makes it a masterpiece.
If you’re not on a yoga mat, where can we find you?
Funny enough, I spend a lot of time on my computer like the rest of the world- planning teacher trainings and coordinating everyone in my business. I’ve spent my life creating this so I absolutely love it, most days I’m just amazed that I’m actually doing this. I’ve recently taken up playing the guitar again, which I used to love as a teenager. I love reading, writing, cooking, going to the beach, playing with my dog and watching movies with my man.
Last but not least, you have to fill us in on your favorite Juil style and color!
I love the new Saffi sandals in luggage!!
